Ft. Myers, FL Study

Ft. Myers Ballpark and Neighborhood Study (1991)

This quick study for a compact neighborhood spring training and minor league ballpark facility for the Boston Red Sox in Ft. Myers, Florida was completed in 1991 as an in town alternative to the growing tendency to locate such facilities on green-field sites. The proposal called for two playing fields (one as part of a 6,000-seat ballpark), some civic buildings and spaces, commercial development, over 650 units of housing, and 2000 parking spaces on about 142 acres of land.
